John Gill, might be the godfather and Ron Kauk and the other Yosemite camp 4 crew set the bar but Fred Nicole turned hard bouldering into an art form. Nicole's style is always in control and never shows desperation. Yes, I know there are climbers that climb harder, but there's no one that makes it look as in control and graceful as Fred.
